Anime--> Pokemon, Episode 25: Primeape goes Bananas

IT'S NOT A DONUT, IT'S A RICE BALL!!!
Do those look like donuts in any stretch of the imagination? It's not that hard to accept, Funimation...

Aside from that, Ash caught a Primeape. Not a bad episode, even though the whole "donuts" think kind of irritated me.

Anime--> Pokemon, Episode 22: Abra and the Psychic Pokemon

I forgot just how creepy (in an awesome way) Sabrina is. So far, she is my favorite Gym Leader, at least as far as the Anime goes. She shows no emotion, has tremendous psychic powers, and carries with her a little girl who may be a psychically-animated doll. Good episode, and the next one will take Ash and friends to Lavender Town, which is probably the town that had the most impact with me when I played the games.

Pokemon Blue Version: My Team

So I've been replaying Pokemon Blue Version, and I just finished putting together my team. Want to see them? Okay, here you go (and if you can guess how I came up with those nicknames, you are awesome):

Anime--> Pokemon, Episode 21: Bye-Bye Butterfree

Yep, I'm watching the Pokemon Anime. I thought it would be a fun bit of nostalgia, and it really is. In fact, not only is Pokemon the show I watched every day as a kid, it was the first Anime I ever watched, years before I got into the medium in general. This is the first episode I'm posting about, since I just started this blog. WARNING: SPOILERS (as if that needs to be said).

Episode 21, Bye-Bye Butterfree, was a good episode with a bittersweet ending. Ash decided to release his Butterfree, the first Pokemon he ever caught (back in episode 3, as a Caterpie). The episode ended with him saying goodbye, as a wave of memories flash into his mind, of all the good times he had. But in the end, he knew that it would be better this way, since Butterfree could lay it's eggs with it's mate.

Overall, I enjoyed this episode. And so far, although the series isn't fantastic, if you go into it with the right mindset, you just might enjoy it. I'm enjoying all the subtle references to the games (little bits of music, the fact that the first episode opened up with the same scene that the original games opened with, etc), and the simple nostalgia it brings. Anyway, this post is already way longer than I meant for it to be, so I'll stop now.

Why Blog?

Hello everybody, this is Worldwearygamer. As far as the internet goes, I am most well known for creating the game I Wanna be the Star, a Christmas-themed tribute to I Wanna be the Guy. I am also somewhat known for my Youtube channel of the same name. At the time of posting, I have 224 subscribers on that channel, every one of which I am grateful for.

The purpose of this blog is for... well, whatever I want it to be! Most of the content will likely be focused on video games, anime, and technology in general, because that's what interests me. Other than that, who knows? I'm just winging it here. I have tried blogging in the past, but never really did much. The only people who read my posts before were my family and close friends, heh.

I think that's good for an introduction. Good enough, I say. Worldwearygamer, out.
